Robert Skirvin
Pastor of Emeritus
Bob received the call to full-time ministry at the age of seventeen and immediately
began studying to become a pastor. He graduated from
Clear Creek Baptist College, Cumberland College and
Georgetown College with the Bachelor of Arts degree
and received the Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Bob's first
full-time pastorate was near Nashville, TN. In January
1960, East Hamilton Baptist Church decided to start
a church plant which was organized into a church in
June 1965 and 2 years after called Bob to become the
church's first full-time pastor, July 3, 1967. He remained
Senior Pastor at that church, North Fairfield Baptist
Church, for 37 1/2 years before retiring in December,
2004. Bob accepted the church's call to become Pastor
Emeritus in 2006. |
